I'm back in America!!
It’s full of Mexicans…
is heading to Manila tomorrow… the journey home begins… :-/
- I’m thinking about trying to get people together for a “Hey mofos I’m back in America” night next Tuesday or Thursday, anybody in?
I love it here, I really do
but I’m just tired, and ready to be home again.
- my declaration of the day: “I’m going to go play Peggle [on my iPhone] while I poop.”
Bathroom Declarations
Things I declared to everyone tonight, in order:
I’m gonna go play Peggle [on my iPhone] while I poop.
(10 minutes later) Don’t poop in there, the toilet’s clogged.
(10 minutes later) You can poop again, I fixed the toilet!
- you had to pull me to another country, another continent, for me to go see Harry Potter. Yeah, and I liked it too.
The Truth
I only came to the Philippines so that my Tumblarity would go up.
- Segway tours in Detroit? The future is fucking NOW.
I love playing online games in the Philippines
It started raining, my internet connection dropped, and I had to stop.
- Hey friends! I’ll send out postcards next week, hopefully, when I’m in Manila! If you’d still like one and you haven’t already sent me your address, let me know! This is an exclamation point!

azspot: But where does this deep reservoir of sarcasm come from? Why does it saturate my generation the way a strong work ethic once saturated the Greatest Generation or the way free-thinking saturated the Boomers? Here’s my best guess: I think our sarcasm is a socially acceptable way for us to vent the mountain of anger we feel.

You guys might not know this, but I consider myself a bit of a loner. I tend to think of myself as a one-man wolf pack. But when my sister brought Doug home, I knew he was one of my own. And my wolf pack… it grew by one. So there… there were two of us in the wolf pack… I was alone first in the pack, and then Doug joined in later. And six months ago, when Doug introduced me to...
Ghosthunting is stupid.
Because I’m sure 90% of the time, the mind will see what it wants to see, not what it actually sees, which is usually nothing.

choice snippet from Apollo 11 transcripts
(INT. Apollo 11 Spacecraft. Command module pilot Michael Collins was holding the camera but has lost it. It has floated away.)
Michael: That pisses me off. Hasselblad (the camera) gone. Find that mother before she or I ends the... Everybody look for a floating Hasselblad. I see a pen floating loose down there, too. Is anybody missing a ballpoint pen?
Buzz: Got mine. Is it ballpoint, or is it ...?
Michael: Yes, ballpoint. Here it is. I mean felt tip. [...] Neil, could you look around over there?
Neil: Yes, I'll look.
Michael: I don't know if we want to go through any wild contortions looking for it--Do we have to throw some other switches? Buzz, you don't see the Hasselblad anywhere down below? Let me go on a little expedition here. Has somebody ...?
Buzz: I've looked already.
Michael: Ah! Here it is.
Neil: Find it?
Michael: It was floating in the aft bulkhead.
